Save the Children UK: Child Protection Initiative
Save the Children UK, which has been collaborating on a border program with Help without Frontiers since a year, organized a child protection initiative training in Vientiane (Laos) from the 30th of October to the 5th of November 2011.
Our program manager Chaung Khu participated in this training and had the great chance to share her work experiences with people from different countries all over Southeast, South and Central Asia. Practices regarding child care were discussed and the participants elaborated on how these are applicable in their working situations and compatible with their national laws. Chaung Khu left the training with a lot of new ideas, which can be useful for the daily work with the migrant children along the Thai-Burmese border.
