At the end of 2010 there was heavy fighting along the border, causing thousands of people to flee their villages under attack. People from 6 different villages sought shelter close to the border with Thailand, where they built a village for 81 families.

In this village a small school was set up for 58 children. Some of them had already attended schools in the IDP area, which was supported by Help without Frontiers.
