History:

The school was opened by the “Joint Action Committee for Burmese Affairs” (JACBA) in December 2006, as there were many children living in the area who couldn't go to school. Until 2008, the school was supported by the NGO "Compasio". Help without Frontiers has been supporting the school since January 2009. 

In teh year 2011 the school had to move. After having found the appropriate spot, we were able to build the new classrooms with the generous help of the Winery Lageder.

Most of the parents are refugees and work in factories, as housekeepers or selling vegetables. They have no papers and often get arrested by the police. They have difficulty earning enough money to live and cannot take care of their children's education.
