History:

Noh Bo Deh school is located in a teak forest close to the border at the river Moei. It was founded by the community and the Karen Education Department in 2002.

The parents are migrant workers. When the students finish the school they can continue their studies at the close by P'Yan Daw school. Help without Frontiers supports the school since 2004.

Main problems:

• Illegal status of the parents and children
• the school is difficult to reach

Goals and plans:

• provide education
• ensure the school is running
• improve the school environment
• keep the children healthy
• arrange events such as opening and closing ceremony, special days and competitions with other schools
