History:

The school is located in Thailand, in the Mae Sot area close to the river Moei. It was founded by the community and parents in 2005 and has been supported since then by Help without Frontiers. The school is under the protection of the local monastery, providing relatively good security for the students. Most of the parents work illegally in Thailand, and live on the Burmese side of the border controlled by the DKBA (Democratic Karen Buddhist Army). Most of the students live in the attached dormitory during the school year and move home during holidays.
