Tha Kaw Kla Dormitory in Mae La refugee camp
|Location:||Mae La Refugee camp|
|Partner:||Kunstdünger GmbH (Schlanders, Italy)|
The dormitory is located in the biggest refugee camp called "Mae La" and was opened in April 2007 with help of Poe Grey, the former headmaster of Twee K'lar School in Karen State, Myanmar. The school had to close down due to ongoing fightings. Some of the students and the headmaster escaped to the refugee camp. In the dormitory they stay together and learn, do handicraft, make music and most importantly play. The headmaster is like a father to the children.
The Tha Kaw Kla dormitory is financed by Kunstdünger.
