Help without Frontiers offers trainings and workshops for staff, teachers and students to study further. 

The new social centre has enough space to hold these trainings in the summer holidays. Workshops such as didactical training for teachers are usually held by volunteers. We also offer Language and Computer courses for children and teachers. During the summer holidays the Help without Frontiers team in Mae Sot also organizes activity camps in different schools.

There is no uniform school system in the border area. In Burma and along the border, teachers teach without active participation of the students. They repeat and learn by heart, in a system of rote learning.

 

The teacher has absolute authority and doesn't accept disobendience, not even under the form of personal creative inputs from the students.

Language and Computer courses

During the summer holidays our social centre team in Mae Sot organises courses and activities for students, held either in the social centre or at one of the schools. Besides language courses (Thai and English) and Computer courses there are also other occasional activities held.
