People in hiding on the Burmese side don't have sufficient medical care. We are helping to improve the situation by supporting clinics and other health related projects. 

The project's operator set the main focus on the community's health education. Furthermore, most refugees living in and around Mae Sot can't afford medical care in Thai clinics. Help without Froniters offers help such as paying for their medical treatment, transportation etc.

The "Wendelgard Lageder" Clinic had to stop operating after fighting in the area. The situation for medics and doctors is too dangerous to go back there. Because of the difficult situation on the other side of the border the staff of our Kathie Zeschg Clinic left their umbrella organisation, the Karen Department of Health and Welfare and changed to the Burma Medical Association (BMA).

Acupuncture department

An acupuncture department was opened beginning of 2010 at the Mae Tao Clinic, founded by the german doctor Ulrich Hühne. Although viewed with skepticism at first, the department has become very popular and now treats around 40 patients a day.
